The Brazilian music takes MaMa with 10 companies delegation

The Brazilian delegation arrives at MaMa with a very representative mix of Brazilian music. The group, composed of 10 companies, including artists, managers, producers, distributors, bookers, labels and festivals, is led by the Brasil Music Exchange (BME), a music fostering project carried out by means of a partnership between Brasil, Música & Artes (BM&A) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The Brazilian presence includes the companies Amplifica Música, Casa de Fulô Produções, Eiden Music Agency, Gramophone, Lab Fantasma, Parquinho, Pessoa Produtora, Sampa Jazz Fest, Tudo Bem Music Brazil e Udi Fagundes. They represent a wide range of artists, ranging from Emicida and Rael’s rap to Gabriel Grossi’s  and Bixiga 70 instrumental music. The Brazilian agenda includes, among other activities, business speed meetings.

According to Leandro Ribeiro, BME project manager, the event is a great stage for the Brazilian music. “The European market is constantly seeking rhythms and Brazil always has something new to show. We always find promising opportunities,” details. One of the producer company that will attend the event is Pessoa Produtora.

According to its representative, Verônica Pessoa, France is an essential market, very diverse and with a curious audience. “We have many to offer: a wide range of Brazilian music, which goes from samba to bossa nova, from classical to popular. It is very diverse, beautiful and rich,” she says. And she also concludes: “it is time to tell a different story to this market. France has a great public and venues very prepared. Here we have also programming festivals. My expectations are very high”.
