Brazilian artists in the World Music Charts Europe Top 20
Works of Brazilian artists Dona Onete, Luedji Luna and AKA Trio are among the 20 albums chosen by World Music Charts Europe (WMCE) in August. Dona Onete is in the 3rd position of the ranking with her most recent record, “Rebujo”, while position number 10 is held by Luedji Luna and her album entitled “Um Corpo no Mundo”, and AKA Trio ranked 14th with “Joy”, album in which Adriano Adewale played percussion.
The list also features the compilation album “Jambu e os Místicos Sons de Amazônia”, released by Brazilian label ANALOG AFRICA, including singers such as Pinduca, Os Muiriquitãns, Messias Holanda and Vieira e Seu Conjunto.
WMCE is an important tool for musicians, record labels and radio broadcasters and producers, since it serves as an airplay instead of a sales table. The network is composed by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), some kind of “umbrella” of public radio stations in Europe.
