Brasil Music Club offers night dedicated to Brazilian music during the SXSW
As of March 17, South by Southwest (SXSW), one of the largest events for the world’s creative economy, and with focus on generating business for the audiovisual, advertising production, games, music, fashion, design and technology is taking place in Austin, in the United States. On March 16, Brasil Music Club hosts a night dedicated to Brazilian music at the bar of Lucille Patio Lounge, presenting six artists: Karol Conka, Xenia França, Boogarins, Luedji Luna, Bixiga 70 and J Brasil.
The national presence is led by the Brasil Music Exchange (BME), a Brazilian music internationalization project carried out through a partnership between Brasil, Música & Artes (BM&A) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). “The eyes of the whole world turn to SXSW during the month of March and we will take this moment to publicize our production, preparing a night showing some faces of the new Brazilian music. This was a request from the event organization, which helped us in the curatorship of the artists “, comments the BME manager, Leandro Ribeiro.
The Brazilian delegation has 5 companies besides the bands: Mugshot, Luciana Chamma, Rodrigo Vegetal, Imusica and Inputsom Arte Sonora, companies in the areas of sync and music branding.
