BaianaSystem releases a revamped version of “O Futuro Não Demora”, now with dub music elements

BaianaSystem, a band from the State of Bahia, in the Northeast region of Brazil, released a few weeks ago a revamped version of its latest studio album, “O Futuro Não Demora”.

The new album, entitled “Futuro Dub”, is a collaborative work with famous music producer Buguinha Dub and goes beyond simple remixes. The band created completely new versions of its songs, including rearrangements and even changes in melodies. For example, the track “Arapuca” now has a more pronounced instrumental part, while “Água” now includes a spoken statement that didn’t exist in the original version of the song.

BaianaSystem keeps its essence while flirting with dub music, a genre created in Jamaica in the mid ‘60s. The result is a very interesting album that you can listen to below.
