Titãs launches tour that celebrates the 20 years of the Acústico MTV album
With a national premiere scheduled for February 23 at the Municipal Theater of Paulínia, in the interior of São Paulo, the São Paulo band Titãs will perform in 2019 a special tour in honor to the 20 years of the Acústico MTV album.
It is as a trio that Branco Mello, Sergio Britto, and Tony Bellotto – accompanied only by their guitars, piano, acoustic guitar, and double bass – recreate classic songs and add other pearls from their repertoire, such as “Epitáfio”, “Isso”, “Enquanto Houver Sol”, “Porque Eu Sei Que é Amor”, and “Toda Cor”.
Between one song and another, they tell stories and exchange ideas with the audience, using the intimate atmosphere of the show. Released in 1997, Titãs Acústico MTV was a successful project, the most successful of all Acoustic MTV, a phenomenon with over two million copies sold, winner of gold, platinum, and diamond records.
Parallel to the tour of the Titãs trio acoustic show, the band will continue in transit through Brazil with the tour of the opera-rock Doze flores amarelas (2017) – theatrical show already available on DVD – and with a third show of electric format, Enquanto houver sol, which script is formed by a mix of hits from all phases of the band.
