The city of Pontal will host the first edition of Caipora Festival Cultural
In August 16-18, Museu da Cana, in the city of Pontal, São Paulo, will host the first edition of Caipora Festival Cultural. The purpose of the event is to promote and integrate several forms of art expression involving music, and is supported by Instituto Cultural Engenho Central and Armazém da Baixada.
Artists such as Baianasystem, Liniker e os Caramelows, LuedjI Luna, Planta & Raiz, OBMJ, Nomade Orquestra, Samuca e a Selva, and Peixelétrico are already confirmed in the lineup. Besides the important representatives of the contemporary music, the festival also includes independent bands from that region.
Also, the structure of the event provides the crowd with theatrical plays, dance, circus and maracatu performances, workshops, films, creative economy fair, camping area, parking lot and food court, among other things, in a 30-thousand-meter farm where the Engenho Central building is found.
The program also includes a band contest, which will award a prize aiming at the dissemination of music productions. The event organization will choose an art expression project involving music that stands out for its originality, considering music style and aesthetics.
