The 3rd edition of WME Conference happens in March, in the city of São Paulo
The Women’s Music Event (WME) – a platform created to increase female protagonism in music – discloses the agenda of the third edition of WME Conference, which will be held in March 22-23, focusing on music, business and technology and gathering over 100 women among artists and professionals from the Brazilian music industry.
The event will take place in the city of São Paulo and includes 15 panels, 8 workshops and the already traditional networking and parties + shows. One novelty of this edition, coming from the USA, is the Pitch, an activity in which cultural producers from different parts of the country will provide immersion in the scene of 6 Brazilian States.
Another novelty is a special panel with the signature of Spotify named WME Discography: the history of albums commented by the artists themselves, which will include the participation of Karol Conka talking about “Ambulante”, Julia Branco about “Soltar os Cavalos”, Luiza Lian about “Azul Moderno” and Maria Rita Stumpf about the classic record “Brasileira”.
The music program includes performances at Centro Cultural São Paulo of the following artists: Maria Beraldo, Slam das Minas, Mahmundi, Anelis Assumpção and Santa Mala, a hip hop group composed of Bolivian female refugees.
Among the names confirmed so far in the panels and workshops agenda of WME Conference 2019 we have: Eliane Dias, Sarah Oliveira, Céu, Anna Butler, Patrícia Palumbo, Claudia Assef, Monique Dardenne, Samantha Almeida, Fabiana Lian, Fátima Pissarra, Laura Diaz, Karol Conka, Julia Branco, Luiza Lian, Josyara, Maria Beraldo, Valesuchi, Carol Matos, Maria Rita Stumpf, Gaia Passarelli, Renata Simões, Guta Braga, Rafa Brites, Fernanda Paiva, Camila Garófalo, Juçara Marçal, Tulipa Ruiz, Mulher Pepita and Aíla, among others.
The wrap party will take place on Sunday, March 24, at House of All, in the district of Pinheiros, and part of Dr. Virgílio de Carvalho Pinto street will be closed for the event.
