Maria Bethânia and Fabiana Cozza sing a duet in a new version of “Alguém me avisou”
Singer Fabiana Cozza releases next month her new album, which visits the works of songwriter Dona Ivone Lara (1922 – 2018). Among the songs is her duet with Maria Bethânia in the new version of “Alguém me avisou” (1980), a samba recorded by Maria Bethânia herself 39 years ago, in album Talismã (1980).
With its title extracted from a verse of the lyrics of “Sonho meu” (by Ivone Lara and Délcio Carvalho, 1978), another samba recorded by Bethânia, the album “Canto da noite na boca do vento” is the unfolding of a project started in March 2018 with Cozza’s first tribute show to Ivone Lara, one month before the honored artist’s death at the age of 96.
The album will be released in April by Biscoito Fino.
