Liniker & Os Caramelows performs at SXSW
The Brazilian band Liniker & Os Caramelows plays for the second consecutive year at South By Southwest (SXSW), one of the largest technology events and creative economy in the world. The festival began on Friday (09) and and happens until Sunday (18) in Austin, Texas.
The group’s presentations take place on Tuesday (13) at 9:00 am at the Austin Convention Center, and at 6:00 pm at the Fogo de Chão restaurant, recreated at the event by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). On Thursday (15), the show kicks off at 6:00 pm at the Russian House of Austin, and on Friday (16) at 10:30 am at Palm Door on Sixth.
The company Let’s GIG, which manages the band, is part of the Brasil Music Exchange (BME), a project to stimulate the export of Brazilian music through a partnership between Brasil, Música & Artes (BM&A) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
The Liniker & Os Caramelows group emerged in 2015, in the city of Araraquara, in the countryside of São Paulo. The first release took place the same year with the track “Zero”, which soon after conquered the public and leveraged the band’s career. Today, they prepare for the second year at SXSW and tour in Europe, in addition they will release a new album still the end of this year.
The Brasil Music Exchange (BME) – a project that aims to foster the Brazilian music companies’ exports promoted since 2002 by the Brasil, Música & Artes (BM&A) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) – supports this showcase.
