Emicida and BME companies participate in the Annecy Animation Festival
The Annecy Animation Festival is considered one of the largest in the world and the Brazilian delegation is already prepared to participate. The event, which takes place between 11 and 16 June in the city of Annecy, France, honors Brazil and exhibits various productions of the country. The national presence is carried out through four export projects promoted by sectoral entities in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil): Brasil Music Exchange (BM&A), Brazilian Content (BRAVI), Cinema do Brasil (Siaesp) e Film Brazil (APRO).
The group has four participants from Brasil Music Exchange: Valu Animation, Astrolábio, Laboratório Fantasma and Zappacadabra. Also with the support of the program, the rapper Emicida will perform during the festival’s opening party, which will take place on the 12th. The artist already has an old relationship with the animation universe. In addition to being declared an admirer of the genre, with the song “Aos Olhos de uma Criança”, was part of the soundtrack of the film “O Menino e o Mundo”, winner of the award for best feature in the 2014 edition of the festival.
This year, the rapper will perform for a qualified audience of about 1500 international professionals in the area. “This action in Annecy is part of a larger strategy to seek an increasingly multisectoral approach, expanding business possibilities within the music market. With a strong foreign presence, the festival is a great space for networking and business closure”, comments the manager of BME, Leandro Ribeiro.
The program of the festival also has a rich program of content and lectures on the Brazilian market, including the exhibition “Brazil frame by frame – 100 years of Brazilian animation”.
