Brazilian singer Céu performs her greatest hits live and online this Thursday (23)
The music industry had to reinvent itself to adapt to this time of pandemics, what led to the broadcast of live performances of artists all around the globe. In Brazil, the scenario is not different, and we have live performances being broadcasted every day on a series of platforms — and now is the time of Brazilian singer Céu.
As part of the Sesc Ao Vivo project, the artist will perform on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube this Thursday (23) at 7:00 p.m. (BRT). Céu is part of a series of performances that have been taking place in such project, and some of the artists who have performed already include Chico César, Pato Fu and Roberta Sá. In her online performance, the singer will present songs from the albums APKÁ! (2019), Tropix (2016) and Vagarosa (2009), among others.
Other live performances scheduled for broadcast this week as part of the Sesc Ao Vivo project are: Paulo Miklos (April 24), João Bosco (April 25) and Zélia Duncan (April 26).
The singer is one of the most important artists of her generation. Céu started her career in 2005, when she was nominated for the Grammy Awards, and she is the lead of a new generation of female singers who write their own songs and take advantage of the digital technology.
Céu won two Latin Grammy Awards in 2016. Her fifth album, APKÁ!, was released this year in Europe and the USA and brings songs written by Caetano Veloso, as well as special guests such as Seu Jorge, Marc Ribot and Tropkillaz.
