After 6 years, Alcione will get back to the studio to record her new album
After six years, Alcione is expected to record in the studio her new album of unreleased songs still in the first semester of 2019. The album includes songs written by Serginho Meriti, Fred Camacho and Toninho Geraes, among others, and almost all of the collaborators are somehow connected to samba.
Songs “O samba ainda é” (by Serginho Meriti, Claudemir and Ricardo Moraes) and “Alto Conceito” (by Fred Camacho) are some of the confirmed tracks. The two previous works released by Alcione were concerts recorded in CD and DVD, “Eterna alegria ao vivo”, in 2014, and “Boleros ao vivo”, in 2017.
While Alcione does not record and release the 41st album of her career, started in 1972, she continues with her “Eu sou a Marrom” tour throughout Brazil, the script of which has been changing since its first show, in December 2017.
